WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW
Next week (week 15, 2021) we will organize the KICK START EVENT to raise money for solar panels and electricity we need to start the 1st OWC Empowerment Hub in Dusego, Rwanda! Today we take you on the journey towards this Kick Start Event by sharing the Story of the OWC Empowerment Hub this week already.
HOW COME
Since September 2020 an international student team from the Technical University Eindhoven and The Responsible Innovation Learning Line started working on an important mission together with Dieudonné Gakire. Their mission was: to bring Electricity, ICT basic skills and Education to the Dreaming Child Center in Dusego, the home village of Dieudonné in the Southern Province of Rwanda. So that the youth in this remote village finally would get access to Education, ICT skills, Internet and Future Perspective.
WHAT IS HAPPENING
As a wonderful outcome of this collaboration, they created the concept of the 1st OWC EMPOWERMENT HUB!
This EMPOWERMENT HUB is one of the most important steppingstones towards achievement of the Better Sustainable Society and Future in which the 17 SDGs 2030 play a vital role. Because Quality Education is key to make change together. And Quality Education today starts with Electricity, basic ICT skills, the Internet and access to the worldwide web of Information, Education and Collaboration!
