#3 Climate Education accelerated through Participation income

Education and society are still mainly focused on the system that fits the continuous growth economy. With an ideal image for young people of a dream career, happiness and success in which achievements, power (having more than others), possessions, popularity, competition and rat race play the leading role. We can break through this Climate undermining ideal image with a 2nd track! In which young people in education and society develop a new ideal image of career, happiness and success, linked to sustainable living and entrepreneurship. In which Climate Education becomes accessible to all youth with a Participation income for young people who actively undertake Climate Impact.

2nd track for a new ideal image and sustainable future perspective

A 2nd track in which young people (10-25 years) during school and study period:

  • Learn on a daily basis, by doing, experimenting and internationally connected about Climate challenges and solutions. In a combination of theory and practice;
  • discover their own talents, values and passion for Climate Improvement through empowerment training;
  • design climate solutions* together;
  • learn to develop their solutions into start-ups with sustainable impact through entrepreneurship training ;
  • experience by doing that they themselves make Climate impact with their start-ups;
  • and at the same time create their own employment and income! (in all countries).

With this track, more and more youngsters have the opportunity to contribute to urgent solutions and changes that are necessary to achieve the Climate Goals on time. During their school and study time. In this way they develop into an enterprising, proactive generation! A generation that can take the lead for Climate Action, because they know how to work together worldwide to tackle and solve new Climate challenges together. Bottom up, hands-on and motivated from within.

*Climate solutions designed in the Living Legends Pop Up School are always bottom-up, accessible, related to change in daily life and lifestyle, are made from local resources, are reusable and can be copied by youngsters in other villages, cities, countries.

With the prospect of a Participation income after school and study

Through Climate Education & Entrepreneurship, teenagers will consciously change their Lifestyle and choices at a young age, because they recognize the consequences of their own behaviour in daily life and can link them to Climate improvement and a better future for all generations.

More and more young people are role models and able to inspire and educate others about a sustainable lifestyle, how to make climate-conscious choices and to develop their own climate solutions into start-ups with help of the community.

After school and study, these young people are the best Climate ‘teachers’ who provide Climate Education in an inspiring and accessible way in the Living Legends Pop Up School and other schools!

Supported by a Participation* income, they can give 20 hours a week to Climate Education & Entrepreneurship for young people (10-30 years). In the other 20-30 hours of the week, they develop their own Start-up for Impact into a successful, sustainable company with its own income.

In this way, Climate Education & Entrepreneurship accelerates! By & for young people, with the help and commitment of partners in the local and international community. By doing this we achieve the urgent Climate Goals faster with solutions and start-ups that young people undertake.

*A Participation Income is like a basic income, linked to conditions, such as providing Climate Education & Entrepreneurship.

Urgent Climate Education & Entrepreneurship gets off to a good and sustainable start when teens are given the opportunity and support to develop climate improvement solutions during school and study and can count on earning a Participation income after school and study as they commit to climate education and entrepreneurship of young people and their start-up.

This gives all generations the opportunity to quickly and practically learn about Climate issues and Lifestyle change. By helping and copying! Locally and internationally.
