WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE
In 2012 ONE WORLD Citizens started to bring youngsters from different countries online together to work out their ideas for change, because we believe in the Power and Ideas of Youngsters. We see: the Youngest Generations are born to design and build the new, fair, sustainable society we all need to have future!
Step by step youngsters from all kind of backgrounds, life situations and countries designed the LIVING LEGENDS concept, as an international basic program for ICT basics, Empowerment & Social Entrepreneurship training that can be given ‘by & for youngsters’ throughout the world. By this concept the 1st LIVING LEGENDS built example projects and start-ups, powered by the OWC Community. To show us: youngsters have smart ideas for achievement of the Global Goals 2030! It’s important to bring them together and to facilitate them to work out their ideas for change into local projects and start-ups. By doing this they are able to implement change and build the society and future they envision.
Since 2012 step by step 25 Living Legends started working together in international teams of youngsters developing more than 47 projects to create smart prototypes, concepts and start-ups for achievement of Basic Needs and Sustainable Change for all.
That’s why Dieudonné Gakire, as author of ‘A Dreaming Child’, founder of ‘Global Radiant Youth’, and LIVING LEGEND in ONE WORLD Citizens strated to work on his idea for change. With 4 students from the Responsible Innovation Learning Line in Eindhoven, he started to work on his Global Goals dream: ICT and Education for the youth in his home village Dusego in the Southern Province of Rwanda.
