It is up to us to recognize the urgency and to make Climate Education & Entrepreneurship important with and for the youngest generations. For all youth, in collaboration with local and international communities. That is why we are starting the Living Legends Pop Up School from One World Citizens with everyone who wants to contribute to it.
WHY
It is very important that youngsters can make conscious choices for changing Lifestyle and society and can make their contribution to climate improvement. And thereby: now is the best time to work together worldwide to achieve the important Climate Goals. So that we prevent the earth from warming further and we save our future in time. This is not possible without major changes in our Lifestyle, economy and society.
It takes a lot to choose this voluntarily and motivated from within! Changing Lifestyle is not easy. It always brings fear and uncertainty. And letting go of behaviors and habits to which we have become attached.
To be able to make climate-conscious and courageous choices, you need good information, examples and guts. But also resilience and confidence in yourself and others around you. And a community of like-minded people who encourage each other, help each other and can make a big impact together.
That is why we are starting the Living Legends Pop Up School with Climate Education, Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and a warm community in which you quickly feel at home! With education for everyone from 4 to 100 years, because everyone has to go to school (again) to learn about the important Climate themes.
With informal and entrepreneurial education, which we build together and which is accessible to everyone, we take our future into our own hands. By this we give ourselves and everyone the opportunity to make climate-conscious choices in time and save the future of everyone and our earth.
HOW
In the Living Legends Pop Up School, youngsters aged 10 to 30 organize Climate Education & Entrepreneurship for and with each other. With the help and commitment of the 30+ generations as knowledge and support partners. Youngsters from different countries work together online on climate solutions, from which everyone can learn and learn. They develop the solutions into local projects or startups with impact. So that the solutions are implemented in daily life and society.
The Living Legends Pop Up School offers an international program by with youngsters and partners are working together online, but also meeting each other locally. In combination with the online Living Legends community that is accessible 24/7 for help questions, collaboration and other support.
Participation is easy. Everyone participates as a volunteer, based on their own motivation and with the time that is available. In this way we can build a large community to make climate impact.
For a basic financial budget to manage the Living Legends Pop Up School and to organize people, we build supports (with those who want to participate because they think climate education and entrepreneurship are important). And we rely on the ‘power of small amounts’: if we have many participants and everyone invests 2 to 15 euros per month according to their ability, we can build and maintain the online Pop Up School for a long time.

Focus on climate goals and policy options
- Stop using fossil fuels
- Significant reduction of pollutant emissions
- Ecosystems need to be restored
- Humans should switch to a plant-based diet
- The amount of people on earth should no longer grow
- The world should move away from the pursuit of economic economies of scale
And additionally any social or sustainable theme that young people themselves connect with climate improvement.
Method
Climate solutions that are designed in the Living Legends Pop Up School are always: bottom up, accessible, have to do with changes in Lifestyle and daily life, are made of local resources (materials, resources, people), are reusable and can be made copying by youngsters in other villages, cities and countries.

Program
- Youngsters work together on a project basis on solutions for climate improvement and climate issues of partners and residents of the local society. In international online teams with local experts and knowledge partners. With the intention of developing climate solutions and issues into working prototypes, concepts, projects or start-ups that can be implemented in society in the short term.
- Every month youngsters organize the offline Living Legends hub. Here they pitch their projects and current requests for help to a local community of peers, residents and partners. The questions for help were answered during co-creation sessions. They also share their projects and requests for help in the online international Living Legends community, which is accessible 24/7.
- Every year youngsters organize the local Living Legends festival and international YOU(th)Start event to share climate solutions and roll out Climate Education & Entrepreneurship internationally, so that more and more youngsters get involved.
