ONE WORLD Citizens is committed to non-formal Peace & Climate education and social entrepreneurship for all youth, worldwide, with which they can develop ideas for change in their local communities into activities, projects and start-ups for the implementation of the change they want to see. So that they are able to act locally and collaborate globally to actively contribute to an inclusive, sustainable and climate-proof society that offers everyone a future, including our Earth and future generations.
We are working on non-formal, online, complementary, low-threshold education. Organized by & for youngsters from all kind of backgrounds, cultures and countries. Accessible to all youth. By doing this, more and more youth will have the opportunity to prepare themselves well for the challenges of today and their future. While working together with youngsters from all countries on daily, practical solutions with a focus on basic needs for all: peace, water, food, energy, reforestry, biodiversity, ICT skills and technology.
The 17 SDGs, the 16 Earth Charter Values and UBUNTU are the basic elements (the “basic subjects”) of the non-formal education that we develop and organize in OWC, because they form an important basis for a new global togetherness, an action- and purpose driven movement and sustainable partnerships.
We Grow Together
We work together in the We Grow Together youth community. A beautiful mix of local youth , young newcomers (migrants) and young community leaders from developing countries and migrant home countries. Because we believe in the power of diversity!
We see: “Every individual, every good idea for change and positive contribution to the society counts. We are all different and this makes sense! Every child/human has its own package of talents, passion, ideas for change and therefore a unique, important contribution to the local society. Together we have all the solutions needed to build an inclusive, climate-proof World that brings a future to everyone. Including our Earth and future generations”
To be copied in all countries
ONE WORLD Citizens is not-for-profit. Everything we do in OWC serves the public interest. We don't build our own equity, but we share surplus funds with Living Legends* to make the change they see.
OWC is organized online and has no office building. The fixed costs of our organization are: web hosting, banking, administration and license costs, in total € 1.750,00 per year
All donations that we receive go directly to the basic incomes and low-budget costs of the Living Legends and their projects, for which the money is intended.
We organize OWC in this low-budget way as an example organization for the countries and young people who join us. So that they can copy our simple organizational model, and we can guide them. Our intention is to build a strong global cooperative as quickly as possible and to empower as many young people in all kinds of countries to create change in their local communities. Hands-on and bottom-up.
OWC has a Board Director and a Supervisory Board, all of whose members are volunteers without allowance. With bylaws that strengthen OWC's governance.
*A Living Legend is a young person who is willing to develop his idea for change into a local project or startup with the help of the community and then willing to help young people from other villages, cities, countries to copy his example project or startup in its own community. In this way, young people see themselves scaling up and implementing the change that is needed worldwide as quickly as possible.

Annual Report OWC 2024
2024 was a very productive and promissing year again. It brought hope and examples of practical change, created by young people! Together, within the resources they had, step by step, but steadily. Together, we created much that demonstrates two important things:
- It pays to empower young people to undertake the change they want to see.
- Diversity makes sense. We can learn a lot from each other and together create important solutions for a peaceful, inclusive, and climate-resilient world and future for everyone, including our planet and future generations.
